Hi, I’m Yami! 💙📸

My full name is Yamilys, but let’s be honest—not everyone knows how to pronounce it, so Yami it is! 😉

I’m originally from Puerto Rico, and I now call little ol’ Wakefield, Kansas, home. I’m a wife to the love of my life, and together, we’ve spent the last seven years “playing Army” while building our favorite adventure yet: our family. Today, we’re a family of four with two kiddos who keep life busy, loud, and full of love.

My love for photography began in high school. Life took me on a little detour when I became a mom, but in 2025, I decided it was time to stop putting my photography dreams on the back burner and finally pursue them.

And I’m so glad I did.

I genuinely love everything about photography—the creativity, the connection, the little details, and, most of all, the opportunity to capture people exactly as they are. I’m especially drawn to senior photography, and sports portraits hold a very special place in my heart. I also love capturing maternity sessions, couples, and families.
